Great news! Harold Camping wasn’t wrong after all, he had just made another mathematical error. It turns out that the new date is actually October 21st 2011. You see, Harold Camping had originally predicted the rapture for 1994. When he was wrong then (and his followers had sold their homes and given all their money away), he said it was a simple mathematical error. The real date was May 21 2011. This was great news for all those who had lost their life savings – it gave them another 17 years to save up enough money to give it all away again.

Now, we should not be too hard on the poor bedraggled Harold Camping or his October 21st doomsday. He is really, really sorry that so many of his followers gave away all their money and belongings… Wait… this just in, it turns out Harold Camping is not sorry at all. I guess he is still a millionaire. Well, I mean, maybe deep down in his heart he really is sorry. Wait… oh crap… this just in, it turns out that Harold Camping has no heart. Don’t worry about him though – he fills the void with your donations.
So, here is the thing, Harold Camping says that he has made another slight mistake. Now it is an October 21st Doomsday date. Also, this time he is really, really super sure he has it right.
Besides, third time is a charm right? I mean, right?
So, here is what I want to know: what do you think about the October 21st Doomsday date? Are you ready? Do you think Harold Camping can get enough donations to pay for another huge media blitz in the next 5 months? Aren’t all his followers broke?
I guess they could just repaint all those buses. They don’t even have to paint the whole thing – they can just paint over the month and turn “May” into “October.”
If you think that job is hard, imagine being one of those poor old church ladies that have to use white out on all those religious pamphlets! They are running an old church lady sweat shop in the basement of Harold’s Family Radio church! These old ladies white out the May 21st date and then after it dries they write in “October 21st Doomsday!”
If a guy gets a prediction wrong three times, chances are he will never get it right. Calculations or not, Harold is still wrong and is constantly making a fool of himself so it will not happen on October 21, because no one knows the day nor the hour of the Judgment Day.
For God’s sake, people should concentrate on doing things that are right before God almighty and man and wait for the day that christ will come again to take the faithful. Pray that whenever it will be it should be when we are most suitable to welcome him. God is real and Christ will come again, believe it or not but when it will be no man knows.
Only a couple more days until we see another epic Harold Fail.

I’ve got to admit, he’s sure put a lot of work into persuading naive people that they MUST give him their money, as the world will end then-oops, no, there-oh, darn, he means now. And, apparently, he’s been doing a good job. There’s our economy, safely secured in his pocket. Everyone needs something, or someone, to believe in. Even atheists believe in SOMETHING .. the absence of god(s). Therefore, take a man who gives people something to believe in.. and someone, somewhere, will believe him.
I am Catholic and I do believe the world’s day will come.. eventually. It’ll come when God is good and ready, and until then I’m going to continue about my day. There is no sense in panicking when the object of fear may not even arrive within one’s lifetime, or maybe not even the next.

Hello. I’ve read many posts on this blog but not one mentioned Edgar Cayce. I was just curious as to why you never mentioned his predictions on this blog. They’re very interesting and they might be of interest to you.
(This is saying if you don’t know of him): He was a famous prophet that predicted many things, including Earth tilting on its axis, the US being flooded in many places (California being most notable), and that all of Japan would be undersea because of floods. There were a few more though, including the start of World War III I believe. These predictions went into more detail, though.
Just like Nostradamus, he never predicted these things to specifically happen on 2012, but if I can recall, many link his predictions to 2012 as well.

The way I see it, we are all going to die eventually. There have been how many apocalypse predictions now? Just about as many as the number we’ve survived. As for “Harold Camping”, he’s just marching to his own beat. Is he right, or not ? Who knows … If he’s not then things will continue as normal (plus a bunch of pissed off followers) and there will be nothing to worry about. (for those that don’t follow anyways) If he’s right, we face the inevitable (spelling?) end anyways, as such any worrying wont be any use anyways.
I feel neither need to praise or discredit Mr. Camping, as part of what makes us human is freedom of choice. What’s the quote I’m looking for?

And I don’t feel sorry (well, a little) for those who squandered away their life’s savings and sold their houses and cars and land and gave it away to this idiot. They were deceived but they clearly did not read into the truth. They made a poop decision and now Camping is laughing it all the way to the bank, and they’re laughing all the way to the local mission (of whatever it’s called) center for a roof and a meal. To them, this is a warning. If they’re so hooked on Camping that they’ll continue on waiting for October 21st, well then they don’t deserve any better.
