Signs the World will End in 2012

Signs the World will End in 2012?

For the most recent about the Japan Earthquake.

There are nearly 100 confirmed dead (98 and counting).  Officials say that there are also still over 220 missing and that over half of them are not expected to be found alive.  The 6.3 magnitude earthquake in Christchurch, New Zealand, is just the most recent of an increasing number of disasters to befall the earth in the last few months alone.

“…the death toll could be much greater than any of us have ever feared.”  Police Superintendent Dave Cliff

Obviously, the quake has been declared a natural disaster.  Experts believe it has caused an estimated $12 billion in damage.

The rescuers have been trying to check every single building, but no survivors have been since Wednesday and hope is beginning to fade for the 226 people still missing.

The images coming out of Christchurch are extremely disturbing.  Please see the New Zealand Earthquake video: 2012 Omen.  The few minutes that you spend watching this will give you a much greater understanding of the damage, anguish, and disaster.

Signs the World will End in 2012In September of 2010 a 7.1 earthquake struck New Zealand.  This previous quake occurred just before dawn and was not as close to the city – there were no deaths.  This most recent earthquake, a 6.3, struck closer to the city and during the day – this resulted in more damage and potentially 200 to 300 deaths.

Are these earthquakes, these natural disasters, signs of 2012?  As the date approaches, these type of events seem to be increasing.  There has been flooding in Australia that has actually been labeled “biblical in scope” by the authorities.  There have been amazing instances of animal deaths in the United States – especially in Arkansas – around the new year.

People are wondering if these kind of events are signs, omens, or portents for 2012.  I can say this as an authority because the traffic to this site alone jumped more than 20% after the New Zealand earthquake.  Sure, you may scoff, but are you not here as well?  Are you not also seeking information?

Mayan calendar predictionsThe ending of the Mayan Longcount Calendar does not mean the end of the world.  I can assure you of that and you can read my reasoning in many of my other posts on the subject of the Mayan Calendar and 2012.  However, there are still many who believe that the 2012 date may end with some kind of major calamity.  Even Dr. Michael Coe, one of the world’s greatest Mayan experts, has written about the potential for Armageddon at the end of the Mayan calendar.
